LFCDS has finalized the implementation of SchoolPass, an app that will facilitate submission of a daily health screening. These are required daily by ISBE reopening guidelines for each student and staff member before entering the building. The questions for the daily symptom check are outlined below. These are based on the latest guidance from the Lake County Health Department.

Daily Symptom Check

  1. Close contact (within 6 feet for at least 15 minutes) with anyone diagnosed with COVID-19 in the last 14 days?

  2. Has any health department or health care provider advised staying home or quarantining?

  3. Anyone in your household tested positive for COVID-19?

  4. International travel in the last 14 days?

  5. Any of the following symptoms?

    1. Fever (greater than 100.4 degrees Fahrenheit) or chills

    2. Cough

    3. Shortness of breath or difficulty breathing

    4. Fatigue

    5. Muscle or body aches

    6. Headache

    7. New loss of taste or smell

    8. Sore throat

    9. Congestion or runny nose

    10. Nausea or vomiting

    11. Diarrhea

SchoolPass will also help LFCDS manage our dismissal so that students can remain in their classrooms until families arrive to pick them up, minimizing traffic in the hallways and parking lots.
