ATTENDANCE PROCEDURES UPDATE
Students who do not arrive at school by 8:20 am will be asked to wait until 10:15 am to enter the building via the Green Bay Entrance. If a student has an appointment that occurs in the morning, we ask that they begin the day at home and come to school after 10:15 am. If a student has a late morning or afternoon appointment and needs to leave school during the day, arrangements must be made with Susan Murphy (Upper School) or Jen Baer (ECC and Lower School). Once a student leaves campus for any reason during the day, that student should not return to campus that day.
PRIOR TO DEPARTING HOME:
Families are expected to complete the COVID symptom screening questions, perform temperature checks on each child, and submit information through an app on your electronic device at home before 7:30 am each morning.
As students will be learning outside, they are encouraged to apply sunscreen before leaving for school.
Students who participate in the LFCDS bus service will have their temperature checked and COVID symptom screening at home before boarding the bus. Students will have their temperature taken on the bus and again when they arrive at school. All students will have assigned seats on the bus, with siblings required to sit together. Masks must be worn on the bus at all times. (See below for more detailed guidelines)
ARRIVING AT LFCDS:
Student drop off will occur between 7:50 am and 8:20 am and masks must be worn into school each day.
We will utilize all three Green Bay Road entrances and all three Onwentsia Road entrances for drop off and pick up during the school year. Each door is marked with a letter and families will be assigned letters coinciding with the assigned doors for entry into the building.
Door assignments and detailed instructions on how to enter the school’s parking lots to ensure safe traffic patterns will be provided in family-specific back-to-school communications.
ONCE AT SCHOOL:
Students will have temperatures checked before entering school. Once cleared to enter the building, students will walk directly to their classrooms to begin the school day with their classroom teacher. Due to safety considerations, students will not be permitted to congregate in the hallways or common areas.
The school day begins promptly at 8:20 am. In order to provide a safe and secure experience for all families, we ask that all students arrive in the window of arrival time (7:50 am - 8:20 am).
